A Gratitude Game :)

What are you most grateful for this year?

If you are a human who’s been living on this planet for the last 18 months, your answer to this question might not come quickly or easily… or at all.

Maybe you have lost a loved one.

Maybe you have survived a health crisis.

Maybe you have struggled to pay your bills.

Maybe you have awakened to some very hard truths.

Maybe you have made choices that placed you
squarely outside of “acceptable” with your tribe.

If you nodded your head to any of these, my heart and prayers go out to you this holiday season.

And though it may seem counter-intuitive, or even upsetting, I would bet that YOU—more than the folks who didn’t lose as much this year—have the best answers to this question:

What are you most grateful for this year?

If we play a little perspective game,
we might find:

Those of us who lost a loved one
know the gift of love.

Those of us who faced a health crisis
treasure every easy breath and move.

Those of us who struggled to pay bills
appreciate work and the generosity of others.

Those of us who awakened to hard truths
can now do something about them.

Those of us who find ourselves “unacceptable” to a tribe
now understand the importance and power
of prioritizing people and relationship over ideas and fears.

Not an easy game to get into, but very rewarding.

As for me, I’m most grateful for the careful work of my Co-Author—writing in the characters and plot twists required to bring me home… to myself… to my body… to healthier relationships with others… to the most meaningful and fun work…

And this year, as I’m launching a new podcast and a collaborative book with the help of a clearly-destined-for-me team, I am grateful for every soul placed in my storyline at the perfect time.

And that includes YOU!

In the spirit of You Can’t Make This St*ry Up gratitude, let’s play another game.

Please respond to this email or find my Thanksgiving post on Facebook and share HOW you met me and what was special about the timing for YOU.

And, of course, I’ll respond about why it was perfect timing for me, too!

Happy holiday, friends!
